Florence has JUST come out of the studio with Mark Spencer (he'll be doing double duty at this show, first as a member of Florence's band then in Son Volt), Will Rigby and Peter Holsapple of the dB's, and Jeremy Chatzky (Bruce Springsteen), completing Highways and Rocketships, the record she was all set to record when the pandemic hit. She was hardly idle in 2020, however, co-creating Cover Charge: NC Artists Go Under Cover to Benefit Cat's Cradle and recording the song that launched it, as well as collaborating on quarantine recordings with local area musicians. Come hear her play songs from the upcoming record, set to release on Propeller Sounds Recording in January.

Friends, I hope you are all managing at this crazy moment. Amid our phone banking and poll watching, Will and I are pleased to be putting together a show for you as well. We will be coming at you virtually, from the Cat’s Cradle stage, November 7 starting at 8pm. Joining us onstage are Peter Holsapple, Robert Sledge, and Charles Cleaver. Special guest appearance by the inimitable Libby Rodenbough for this one too. It’s a crazy time to be planning anything, but we are glad to bring you some music in difficult times.
